Thunderstorm Wallpaper Mug

Alana Wilson grew up in Northern Ontario where summer thunderstorms were pretty common. And then she spent several summers working as a fire lookout in Alberta, where part of her job was watching and reporting thunder clouds and lightning strikes. Here on the Atlantic, thunder storms are pretty rare, and she really misses their lightshows and power.

These thunderstorm mugs in red clay have raised clouds and gold  lustre lightning bolts. They are approximately 4 inches tall and hold about 12 - 14 oz each.

All mugs are hand built and hand decorated, meaning no two are ever exactly the same. Alana uses a clear glaze over applied slips and underglazes. Her glazes have been tested for food safety. Mugs with a  metallic finish are NOT microwave safe, and she encourages hand washing for longevity.
