nbccd pop up

PROJECT A's first pop up location was built using free, borrowed, and recycled materials over a matter of days. the shop featured the work of 20 student artists and alumni from the new brunswick college of craft and design, located in fredericton.

the project budget was $700 and the space was 2500sq feett. the project generated $19,000.00 in revenue in just 10 days for the featured emerging artists.

canmore pop up

building on concept of location #1, PROJECT A continued to support emerging artists exclusively. in april 2017, construction began to an empty office space. the pop up opened in june and closed in september, and celebrated the work of 45+ makers.

the pop up featured ceramicists, slow fashion designers, photographers, indigenous makers, textile producers, wood workers, glass blowers, jewellers, and painters, including renowned kerry langlois, now featured at canada house gallery.

permanent atelier

nearing the end of 2017, PROJECT A opened it's third location: a permanent atelier at 710 main st, in canmore, alberta.

always dedicated to supporting emerging artists, PROJECT A has worked with 250+ new businesses since opening it's doors in 2015. the shop still continues to focus on fine craft, home decor and art, with an affinity for all things handmade and functional.
